Thursday’s Car Auction in Tulsa

Do you love cars? Auctions? An additional activity for a few who love cars and auctions. You can join classmates to drive 90 miles northeast on the Turner Turnpike to Tulsa for an Auto Auction. • Doors open at 10 am on Thursday. 
• Advance purchase is $20/day for the event.
• Buy tickets online at the event website [see above for link].
• ’77 classmates in OKC will meet mid-morning and car-pool to Tulsa to arrive at the SageNet Center about 1 pm on Thursday. 
• The Oklahoma City and Tulsa area group will designate a meeting time and location. Individuals can then spend the afternoon at the show.
• Tentative plan is to leave for Scott Anderson’s place by around 5 pm. Scott will have heavy hors d’ oeuvres, beer and wine.
• Guests will have time to mingle and chat while checking out Scott’s car collection.
• Participants can stay in Tulsa over night, or return to OKC for Friday’s events.
• Please contact Brad Rauch, 719-239-1589, or Tom Small, tsmall@smallarchitects.com. They need to know who is going to arrange meeting times, and Scott needs a number for food preparations.

Friday, June 10

• 4-person Scramble Golf Tournament for male and female class members, spouses and friends
• Friday Morning at Lake Hefner Golf Club – a challenging course with four par 5’s, four par 3’s
• $35 [pay with your registration], includes cart
• You are encouraged to build your own team. Anyone can play — ask family members, friends from other years at West, or spouses of classmates.
• If you want to play and don’t already have a group, let the guys know and they can add you to a group.
• Prizes will be given. Let us know if you want to donate prizes.

• Two of Oklahoma City’s most popular food trucks, Big Truck Tacos and Saucee Sicilian, will be parked in Ginna’s driveway from 6:30-8:30 pm.
• Food trucks are prepaid. You will not need cash, as it is part of your registration fee.
• You will choose your own meal from the trucks.
• Water, tea, coffee will be included
• A home-made dessert bar will be available all evening

• Dress – outdoor casual. Wear what you desire, and remember it can be hot in June in Oklahoma.
• Forecast for Friday, June 10 – 30 percent of showers before 8 am. Mostly sunny with a high of 89 degrees and a south, southeast 7-9 mph wind changing to northwest in afternoon. Friday evening – partly cloudy with a low around 68 degrees. Forecast by Randel George, classmate who is a meterologist at National Weather Service in Norman, Okla. on Wednesday, June 8.
• Parking is available in the street and on long driveway. Overflow parking is at a nearby strip mall. We will have golf carts making short trips back and forth from the event.

Saturday, June 11 Events

• A tour down memory lane in the PC West HS buildings. Even if you toured in 2017, I’m told you will want to see the new athletic center and stadium. Time: 11 am with Principal Jason Memoli
• PC Schools Museum – Take a few minutes or more time to view pieces of PCW memorabilia at the PC Schools Museum from 10 am to 2 pm every Saturday. It is located near the former Central Junior High where Shields’ Book Store was located. It’s between 40th and 41st Streets on Grove Avenue. [If you have yearbooks, spirit wear, buttons, uniforms, or paper memorabilia to donate, the museum is glad to accept your treasures from you or your family when you no longer need the treasures.]

• Saturday, June 11, 6-11 pm at Vast Fine Dining in the Devon Tower, downtown
• Oklahoma City’s premier destination for dining with a panoramic view of Oklahoma City
• Your meal is covered by a generous classmate
• Your parking is covered by another kind classmate. You will go to to park Saturday, and let the attendant know you are with the PC West Class of 1977 reunion group.
• Cash Bar available
• Casual dress – it can get chilly in an air conditioned room, so dress accordingly.

Your parking for Saturday evening is paid by a classmate. Please park in the City Center East Garage just south of Park on Harvey Avenue. To enter, push the button and after the operator answers inform them you are with Putnam City West reunion.

• Colcord Hotel by Hilton is connected by a covered walkway to the Devon Tower and Vast. * We have blocked 10 rooms for Saturday night for $189 at the Colcord. Call the Colcord to reserve your room.
• Other downtown hotels: over $300 – Omni Hotel; over $200 – Skirvin, Courtyard Marriott, & Ambassador; over $100 – Sheraton, Wyndom Grand
• Hotels in Bricktown: over $100 – Residence Inn, Hampton Inn, Hyatt Place, & Homeward Suites; under $100 – Country Inn by Radisson.
• Hampton Inn on Garth Brooks Blvd. is closest to Ginna’s west Yukon home.
• Other Yukon hotels: Fairfield Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn, Home2Suites, etc.

Registration
